Amazing Weekend

Carrie Goodmurphy-Vernelli-
Had a pretty amazing weekend. 2 wonderful parades. 3km of walking each and I’m feeling tired but not completely bed ridden. Yesterday we we’re able to be apart of the parade in Fort Erie, The war of 1812 and today in Welland for the Rose parade. Got to spend time with wonderful friends and meet new people. It was so very emotional especially yesterday. People clapping and saying thank you, some giving standing ovations. Today people wanting to give us hugs and hand shakes. Lot’s of tears happened but so proud to be apart of such amazing experiences. Thank you Chris Ecklund, without you it’s not possible to have these experiences with our family. Thanks to the Storm family Wendy Storm, Angelicia Shelly for coming today and to Jake Mousseau for being with us all weekend and sharing it with us. xoxoxoxox

Discovered Some Frame Damage

Well the team was at it since 8am, today and unfortunately they discovered some frame damage to the car as well. We will have to get it straightened asap, and repair the other components as well, it was one hard crash, and physics being what they are that energy had to be absorbed somewere, and now we are undergoing a complete inch by inch examination of the race car to find out. Sad yes but thats racing, we will get the car repaired and ready for next months race at Mosport July 14th. Many thanks for all the hard work that everyone put into the car today!
