CASSAVETES, Nicole Hope After a brave and courageous battle, it is with profound sadness the family of Nicole announces her passing at Toronto Sick Kids Hospital, on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at the age of 14. Cherished and forever loved daughter of Kim and Dale. Special sister of Kevin and Cristene (Renzo). Loved granddaughter of Lillian and Jim McConnell. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. Nicole was a selfless soul who was a strong advocate for anti-bullying and organ donation. She was bright, vivacious, full of energy and dreamt of horseback riding and becoming a cardiologist, who was taken far too young. Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. John the Baptist Church, 128 Edgemont Street South on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 11 a.m. Donations may be made to the Hamilton/Halton SPCA in Nicoleâ s memory.
