Canadian Heroes at Winona Peach Festival

Today at 12:00pm - Sunday at 7:00pm

Location Wionna

Approximately 150,000 people visit the Winona Peach Festival during the weekend of festival. It is the single greatest source of revenue from a festival in the former City of Stoney Creek, now the City of Hamilton. The Festival stimulates the economy through our Arts & Crafts, Amusements and Commercial Exhibits areas. The organizations themselves use local vendors to purchase their products, creating a good circle of revenue. We... provide a bussing schedule for seniors. We also have handicap parking and a baby change tent.

The Festival provides something for all ages. We have a children’s stage, the ED Smith Fun Factory, which provides family entertainment daily. Our Arts & Craft section caters to young and old who take the time to stroll through looking and buying the crafts. Our Main Stage provides different types of entertainment all weekend long. We have a ‘Peach of a Car Show’ that has allows local car groups to display their vintage cars. The Amusement area is always a big hit with the kids. Winona Peach Festival Food Court has something to suit every taste; the organizations provide a large variety of foods and beverages.

The Winona Peach Festival promotes community spirit and provides much needed fund raising opportunities for the area organizations. The Peach Festival is an event that brings people together, so make the Winona Peach Festival your, "Family Tradition"!

Canadian Heroes possible trip to Europe

I have been thinking about this for a year or so, and I am wondering what you think of this idea and what you could suggest the trip could be and should be.

Wouldnt it be a special thing with the Olympics in London next year that we do up a “special” Canadian Heroes Car and then ship it over and tour the major battlefields, that Canadians fought in, visit the cemetaries and memorials, Vimy, Dieppe, etc, with the trip ending in London.

The Olympics start July 12 2012 next year, and ends August 12th.

Thoughts?

Delaware Speedway

“Hi everyone. I had the honour of driving the Canadian Heroes car in the Summer Showdown at Delaware Speedway on July 13th 2011. We dedicated this race to Major Damon Kemp Murray who was a father of three children Joel, Ella, and Charlie. This really hit home with me as I am a father of four boys. I would just like to express how very grateful I am to our troops and what an absolute honour it is to be able to race in their name. We will do whatever it takes to carry on the names of our fallen soldiers and to never forget the sacrifices they have made for us. Thank you so much and God Bless.”
