Remembrance Day 11.11.11


11.11.11 Hamilton, ON. Gore Park from John to Hughson streets the crowd gathered for Remembrance Day. Bill Eisen, a 93-year-old veteran of the Second World War and the Korean Was was the master of ceremonies for the crowd that had gathered this November morning.
The ceremony got underway shortly after 10:45 a.m. Mayor Bob Bratina addressed the crowd, also Padre Bruce Lacillade.
Bratina said “it’s important to remember the victims, but also that sacrifice is also made by the survivors.”
Padre Lacillade led a prayer to finish the ceremony and followed off by saying “We are here today because our fallen don’t get another day. We do, and we have to use it. We must commit to love our neighbours, our community, our nation and humanity. Through this our lives will be fuller and richer.”
We at Canadian Heroes thank all those that have fought, past/present and future and we will continue to support the families and raise awareness. Thank you to are Heroes – lest we forget…
